Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

You can have a heart for work, sincere and even with a good character. However, though the initial are important, there is every possibility that the work will not be done effectively and efficiently without adequate and relevant knowledge. 

Knowledge is key to effectiveness and efficiency. Even though character is needed, competence is key to performance. 

Psalm 78:72 So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

Through the Holy Spirit you have both today. The power of God through the Holy Spirit produces in you godly character as you yield yourself to His leading and also comes upon you for effectiveness, excellence, skillfulness in service. 

Go forward today relying, depending, trusting the Holy Spirit in all you do and see how you will demonstrate His excellence.
